Gross Direct Tax collections for the Financial Year (FY) 2023-24, as of the 16th of this month, have registered a growth of 18.2 percent. The gross collection stands at nine lakh 87 thousand 61 crore rupees as compared to eight lakh 34 thousand 469 crore rupees in the corresponding period of the last FY.
The provisional figures of Direct Tax collections for this FY show that net collection stands at eight lakh 65 thousand 117 crore rupees as compared to seven lakh 416 crore rupees in the same period of the last FY. The figures here also represent an increase of 23.51 percent.
