Wall Street ends higher on economic data. The S&P 500 ended higher yesterday as hotter-than-expected economic data eased worries about a recession without raising fears of a Federal Reserve rate hike next week.
The Nasdaq Composite index and the S&P 500 both added 0.8 percent, whereas the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained one percent .
