Superstar Rajinikanth collaborated with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Sun Pictures for the highly anticipated film, ‘Coolie’. The shooting for this mega actioner kicked off on July 5th in Hyderabad. Reports indicate that the first schedule was planned for 35 days and is going on at a brisk pace.
Shruti Haasan confirmed joining the star cast of ‘Coolie’ on July 5. She is said to be playing Rajinikanth’s daughter in this film while the veteran actors Sathyaraj and Shobana are likely to play important roles. There were rumours that the makers had approached several Malayalam actors for a pivotal role. Today, exciting news has emerged that acclaimed actor Soubin Shahir is roped in for ‘Coolie’.
Notably, Soubin Shahir is well known for producing and portraying Kuttan in Malayalam cinema’s biggest blockbuster, ‘Manjummel Boys’. Though this news is going viral on social media, we have to take it with a pinch of salt until an official announcement. The technical crew of ‘Coolie’ boasts Anirudh as the composer, Girish Gangadharan as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor and the Anbariv duo as the stunt masters.
