JOHANNESBURG – The DA is urging the Gauteng government to take urgent action, against non-compliant spaza shops and supermarkets.

This comes after the deaths of five children in Soweto, after they allegedly consumed poisoned snacks, bought at a local spaza shop.
Since February this year, the Health Department has reported more than 200 cases of food poisoning, at schools across the province.
