A mini tourist bus got stuck on Gorai beach in Mumbai during high tide on Monday morning, officials said, adding that at the time of the incident there were no passengers on board, and no injuries were reported.
According to a police official from the Gorai Police Station, the incident happened around 10 am. The bus driver had first dropped off tourists at a nearby bungalow near the beach and later he took the empty bus for a ride along the shore when the bus got stuck.
However, as the high tide came in, the vehicle got stuck in the wet sand. Local residents quickly gathered at the scene, and with their help, the bus was safely pulled out later in the day.
“There was no one inside the bus when it got stuck, so thankfully, everyone is safe,” said a police official.
Further details are awaited.
