A minor fire broke out at a burger shop near Ghatkopar Railway Station on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 12:52 PM at Shraddhanand Road, near Hindusabha Hospital.
According to officials, the Mumbai Fire Brigade responded promptly to the alert and deployed one fire engine to the site. The blaze was brought under control and fully extinguished by 1:17 PM.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Fire breaks out at high-rise building in Kanjurmarg
In another incident, on July 13, a fire broke out at the N G Royal Park Building, which is located near Gandhi Market on R Deshmukh Marg in Kanjurmarg East, officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) said.
The fire, which was reported at 11.40 am, was confined to the electric duct between the 16th and 18th floors of the 20-storey building. The MFB declared it a Level-1 incident at 12.10 pm, according to officials.
Along with three fire engines, one fire tender, two jumbo tankers, one breathing apparatus van, one high-rise firefighting vehicle (HRFFV), one turntable ladder (TTL), one quick response vehicle (QRV), and three ambulances from the 108 emergency response service were deployed to the site for the firefighting operation.
No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished at 1.24 pm.
Fire breaks out in a high-rise in Goregaon East
On July 4, a fire broke out on a top-floor flat of a 20-storey building in Goregaon East in Mumbai, though no one was hurt in the incident, an official said.
One man was rescued from the blaze that broke out in flat number 2005 at 1 pm at Raheja Residency on Arunkumar Vidya Marg, the Mumbai Fire Brigade official informed.
“The fire was doused at 1:32 pm. It was confined to electrical wiring, installations, an AC unit, furniture, clothes, and other household articles. The cause of the blaze is being ascertained,” he said.
On June 25, a fire broke out at the Windsor Building located on CST Road in Santacruz (East), officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) said.
