The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today said that Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi for the next 2 days. The weather agency said, minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degree Celsius over many parts of Northwest, East, and Central India during the next 3 days. The IMD has forecast dense fog conditions to continue in the morning hours over pockets of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha tomorrow.
A cyclonic circulation present over the Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will bring rainfall over the Eastern state and its neighbourhood today. The IMD has predicted scattered rainfall over parts of West Bengal and Jharkhand along with isolated thunderstorms in North East India today. Light to widespread rain and snowfall is also expected over Arunachal Pradesh for the next two days. The weather agency added that strong surface winds of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour are estimated over the plains of Northwest India during the next 3 days.
