As the highly anticipated comedy film ‘Bad Newz’ nears its release, audience are excited to see the on-screen chemistry of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. While the team behind the movie is optimistic about delivering plenty of laughs, Triptii Dimri, who has primarily starred in dramatic films like ‘Bulbbul’ and ‘Qala,’ opens up about the challenges she faced in tackling the comedy genre.
Sharing her experience with IANS, Dimri said, “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning.” Despite the difficulty, she found the experience beneficial, describing it as a good learning opportunity.
Dimri thanked the Bad Newz’ team, especially director Anand Tiwari for trusting her with a comedy role. She acknowledged the challenge of working alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, noting their strong comic timing. “It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good,” she said.
On the work front, Dimri has several other movies lined up. After ‘Bad Newz,’ she will star in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Additionally, she has ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ and Shazia Iqbal’s ‘Dhadak 2’ with Siddhant Chaturvedi in the pipeline.
