Union Minister Dr Virendra Kumar inaugurates 41 addiction treatment facility centres under Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar virtually inaugurated forty one addiction treatment facility centres including Badaun district under the Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan- Drug Free India Campaign organised in New Delhi on Thursday (08th February 2024) .

During this, Dr. Kumar said in his virtual address that the positive energy of the youth of the country should be used for the welfare of their family, society and country. He said that a person affected by the bad habit of drug addiction also has a bad impact on the society and family. In the programme everyone was also administered the oath of drug-free India campaign.

On the other hand, the de-addiction treatment centre built in the district hospital of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh was inaugurated by Chief Development Officer Keshav Kumar. He said that there is a need to adopt a cooperative attitude towards the people suffering from drug addiction. He said that by building a addiction treatment facility centre, people affected by drug addiction will be easily treated.
