In Manipur, incidents of violence have been reported in different parts of the State that claimed the lives of two persons while one sustained a bullet injury.
According to the Police report, two suspected NSCN-IM cadres were shot dead at Rengpang Village in the Noney district of Manipur. The incident took place early morning today when armed miscreants fired indiscriminately. and one civilian also sustained bullet injury It is said that the armed miscreants also kidnapped some persons and the Police has intensified operation to rescue them.
On the other hand, the re-enforcement force consisting of Manipur Rifles, Manipur Commandos, and Indian Reserve Battalion was sent off from Imphal today to violence-hit Moreh town. However, a large number of womenfolk closed the main road in hill areas and dug out highways to block the convoy of the security forces.
