BYD Further Expands Into the African Market, ATTO 3 Debuts in Madagascar

According to official sources from BYD, on October 9th local time, BYD partnered with its distributor CFAO in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, to launch the first local BYD new energy vehicle product – the all-electric model Yuan PLUS (known as BYD ATTO 3 overseas). This launch event marks further expansion of BYD in the African market.

BYD’s Africa Regional Sales Director Yao Shu emphasized BYD’s firm belief in promoting green travel and sustainable development in his speech at the event: “We believe that the future of travel will be green, intelligent, and sustainable. Today, the debut of BYD ATTO 3 in Madagascar is a manifestation of our commitment. It not only has outstanding performance but also significantly reduces carbon emissions, making a positive contribution to achieving our environmental goals.” Yao Shu pointed out that the popularization of electric vehicles is not only technological progress but also an important demonstration of corporate social responsibility. BYD will continue to innovate and strive to provide users with environmentally friendly smart travel experiences.

The BYD ATTO 3 is the first A-class SUV equipped with BYD e-platform 3.0, adopting the Dragon Face 3.0 family design language, with a wheelbase of 2720mm and blade batteries as standard across all models.

As of now, BYD’s new energy passenger vehicles have entered 12 countries and regions in Africa. BYD stated that it will deepen its market layout in Africa, work hand in hand with partners to bring more diversified new energy travel choices to consumers.
