Read on to find out.Why would the bones not go on record?The CBI said that it did not rely on these bones as evidence, as they were not cited in the charge sheet. It added that they wanted to proceed without bringing the bones on record.Did Sheena’s bones actually go missing?The revelation comes as the trial court received an email and a letter which claimed that her remains are in possession of a forensic expert who had examined her skeleton and who deposed before the court as a witness.It further alleged that the witness, identified by reports as Dr Zeba Khan, has suddenly amassed wealth.Defence lawyers were informed about the email by special CBI judge S P Naik Nimbalkar on Wednesday. The Defence, as per news agency PTI, submitted that the allegation should be investigated. The presiding judge has now sought a response from the central probe agency.When did Sheena Bora’s bones go missing?The CBI informed the court that the bones went untraceable on April 24. She was murdered in 2012, allegedly by her mother Indrani and others, in 2012. The murder case came to light in 2015, three years after the murder. At the time, it was alleged that Indrani, with the help of her ex-husband Sanjeev Khan and driver Shyamvar Rai, strangled Sheena in April 2012.
