A major new airport to serve Cambodia's capital and boost tourism is due to open in July

Cambodia’s new Techo International Airport near Phnom Penh is set to open in July 2025. The $1.5 billion project is a joint venture between the Cambodian government and a private firm. Initially, the airport will handle up to 13 million passengers annually. It will eventually expand to accommodate up to 50 million passengers by 2050.
