Yesterday evening, the airport sent Daily News Hungary a statement informing the press that they had to close due to runway damage.Hungarian international airport closed yesterdayAccording to the statement of the Debrecen International Airport, their employees found the damage on one of the airport’s runways during a routine check. The reason is the high temperature lasting for too long. As a result, considering the highest flight security rules, they had to close the airport for traffic until they could finish the reconstruction.If the weather allows it, the work will only last a week, during which the airport will remain closed.
