Four from Odisha in India’s Blind Cricket Team that will impart training in US

Photo: OTV Four from Odisha in India’s Blind Cricket Team Odisha’s four visually impaired cricketers will teach the knack of blind cricket to such cricketers in America. These four players are part of the 15-member visually-impaired cricket team of India which will fly from Delhi to Boston on July 24. Since India has been the champion in blind cricket format, the Blind Cricket Society in America has expressed its wish to play with them and learn from them. The four players of Odisha featured in the Indian team are Sukharam Majhi and Nakula Badanayak from Koraput,  Debraj Behera from Berhampur and Pankaj Bhue from Bargarh. Also Read: Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik wins Golden Sand Master Award in Russia The Indian team will stay for around 55 days in America and teach their counterparts there. The team will start its journey from Delhi on July 24 and reach Boston the next day, on July 25. “Besides promoting our blind cricket there, we will also impart training to the visually-impaired boys and girls there. For the US tour, four players including me have been selected from Odisha,” said Sukharam Majhi.
