Silent Hill 2
Developer Bloober Team have confirmed the upcoming remake of iconic horror classic “Silent Hill 2” will include a ’90s filter’ option. This allows players to remove all UI elements and to add “grain effect, colour correction, and screen adjustments” for an ‘old school experience’.

They also confirm the game will take 16-18 hours to complete on average, and more than 20 hours to 100% complete it. So far reviewers have been cautiously optimistic about the title from early playthroughs. The game arrives October 8th. [Source: Bloober Team]

Saturday Night
Jason Reitman’s “Saturday Night” is switching to a three-step platform release. The film will hit LA, New York and Toronto on September 27th, followed by a limited release October 4th, and then the planned October 11th wide release.

Set in 1975, the film depicts the chaotic 90 minutes leading up to the premiere of NBC’s long-running sketch show “Saturday Night Live”. The film premiered at Telluride to a packed house and strong reviews. [Source: Variety]

Peacemaker
Filmmaker and DC Studios chief James Gunn has long said that with the upcoming second season of Max’s “Peacemaker” being set in the new DCU, it won’t go to air until after his “Superman” film releases in July 2025.

Now, on Threads this weekend, Gunn is standing by that assessment and confirms the plan is for the new run of “Peacemaker” to air in the second half of 2025 and sometime after “Superman”. Filming on the new season is expected to wrap in the coming weeks. [Source: Threads]

Dick Van Dyke
98-year-old veteran actor Dick Van Dyke has won an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded) for his CBS two-hour birthday special “Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic” which aired in December. Speaking to press, he was asked how he would like to be remembered, and he said:

“For laughter, I hope. For making people laugh for 75 years. I’ve been in the business for 75 years, I can’t believe it that I’m still here & performing!… I’m looking for work if anybody’s interested.”
