The trailer of the third season of the series Humorously Yours was released by the makers on Tuesday. The show is a slice-of-life comedy-drama based on the life of stand-up comic Vipul Goyal. It also stars Rasika Dugal as Vipul’s wife Kavya and Abhishek Banerjee as his friend Bhushi.
The series has been created by Amit Golani.
The trailer of the third season delves further into Vipul’s life and his career as a comedian. We witness the insecurities and jealousy he feels as he sees other comics making it, the embarrassing experiences on live shows and the heckling by audience members. This time, Vipul is planning for a US tour and for that he has to learn crowd-work which might not come that easy. The trailer also features cameos from comics like Anubhav Singh Bassi, Harsh Gujral and Johnny Lever.
Talking about the show Vipul said, “This series, which initially offered a glimpse into my life, has now evolved into a collective journey that includes my wife, my best friend and confidant, my manager our other prominent cast members.”
“It was so much fun to slip into Kavya’s shoes again,” says Rasika. “Humorously Yours has been a joyous ride and a welcome change from the emotional intensity of the other work I as doing at the time. Vipul is a super stand-up comic. Many of his videos kept me laughing through lockdown days. It’s always fun to share screen space with him.”
Reminiscing his journey with the series, Abhishek said, “My journey with Humorously Yours started in 2016 and 7 years later, we are back with S3. This season, we got a chance to work alongside some of the best comedians like Johnny Lever, Bassi and Harsh Gujral and we are sure that the viewers will enjoy another season of this slice of life comedy-drama.”
Season 3 of the show will start streaming on ZEE5 from December 22.
